Initially backed on Kickstarter and then acquired by Facebook in 2014, Oculus has released 2 developer kits (DK1 & DK2) and the consumer-ready headset, the Oculus Rift (CV1) in 2016. VR games and experiences created for one Oculus device are often not compatible with the others.

HTC Vive

HTC Vive runs on Windows and requires a high-end PC or Laptop. You’ll need a “play area” of at least 1.5m x 2m to use most of the content, although it also works with seated and standing experiences.
